Meet your celebrant

Julie Chesson

I’m Julie, a full time Authorised Marriage and Funeral Celebrant, and I feel incredibly lucky to do something I genuinely love. For me, being a Celebrant is so much more than just a job, it’s about telling your story, creating a ceremony that feels truly personal and leaving you and your loved ones with beautiful memories to treasure.

And by my side, at every wedding, is my husband and best friend, Keith, my soulmate and the love of my life. We’ve been married for 44 years, so I know just how precious love, friendship, laughter and the little moments are. Together, we make a wonderful team. I create and lead your ceremony, while Keith is my ‘Roadie’, taking care of the music, sound and all those little behind the scenes details that help everything run smoothly.

Based in Perth, Western Australia, we feel privileged every time we’re invited to be part of someone’s love story, and we’d love the opportunity to tell yours.

Ceremonies for every chapter of life

Every ceremony tells a story, is unique and special just like the couples and families that I look after.

01

Your Wedding Ceremony

Your wedding ceremony should be about you, your love story, your personalities and the future you’re creating together.

From the moment we meet, I want to get to know you both. I’ll sit down with you to complete your legal paperwork, but our conversations are about so much more than forms. I want to hear how your love story began, what you love most about each other, the memories and moments that have brought you here, and the dreams and plans you have for your future. These are the little pieces of your story that allow me to create a ceremony that feels genuinely and uniquely yours.

02

Funeral Ceremonies

Being a Funeral Celebrant is so much more than just a job to me. It is my passion to tell each person’s story, to remember the moments that made them who they were, celebrate the life they lived, and create a ceremony that truly reflects the person and the people who loved them.

I know that saying goodbye is one of the hardest things a family will ever have to do. My role is to walk beside you, listen to your stories, and gently guide you through the process, taking away some of the worry and helping to make a really difficult day just a little easier.

03

Naming Ceremonies

A Naming Ceremony is a beautiful way to welcome your little one and celebrate their arrival with the family and friends who will watch them grow and be part of their life.

I’ll create a warm and meaningful ceremony that is personal to your family, introducing your little one, sharing their name and the story behind it, and including the special people who will be there to love, guide and support them as they grow.

04

Renewal of Vows

A Renewal of Vows is a beautiful opportunity to pause, look back on the journey you have shared, and celebrate the love that has carried you through the years.

It’s a chance for couples to say thank you to one another, for the love, laughter, memories, challenges overcome and all the little moments that have made your life together so special. And then, just as importantly, to promise that the future you share will be every bit as loving and special as your yesterdays.

05

Milestone Birthdays

Some birthdays deserve more than a cake and a few candles. They deserve to be a celebration of the person you love and the wonderful life they have lived.

Whether it’s 18, 21, 40, 50, 75, 80 or beyond, a milestone birthday ceremony can be a little like “This Is Your Life”, a chance to look back at the journey, share the memories, laugh at the stories, and celebrate all the people and moments that have helped shape who they are.

Little Place of Love

Private and relaxed, with comfortable seating and plenty of parking. Perfect for intimate ceremonies of up to 12 guests.

Our home is a very special place to us. Keith and I built this house and raised our three children here, and now our grandchildren come to visit. Over the years it has been filled with family, laughter, celebrations and so many wonderful memories, it truly is a place of love.

We’re now lucky enough to share a little piece of that love with couples who simply want to get married without the fuss or hefty price tag of a large wedding. Located in Beldon in Perth’s northern suburbs, you can choose between our beautiful air conditioned chapel or our poolside garden gazebo.

Our Chapel

Our chapel is perfect for couples who simply want to say “I do” in a beautiful, comfortable and private setting. It’s air conditioned, there are no other couples waiting behind you, and you’ll never feel rushed out the door.

We offer the same price as the Registry Office, but with the personal care and attention of having your own celebrant and your own special space. You can take your time, enjoy the moment and celebrate your marriage surrounded by the people who matter most.

Our Poolside Garden Gazebo

If you love the idea of an outdoor ceremony, our beautiful poolside gazebo is especially magical as the sun begins to set. The setting is relaxed and pretty, and because your ceremony is later in the day, you and your guests can enjoy the garden without the heat of the midday sun.

With seating provided, plenty of parking and space for up to 12 guests, it’s a lovely choice for couples who want something intimate, beautiful and uncomplicated.

No fuss, no rushing. Just you, the people you love, and the beginning of your next chapter together.
